Religious Education-Grades 1-12
“Catechesis has to reveal in all clarity the joy
and the demands of the way to Christ.”
- John Paul II, Catechesi Tradendae, 29
What is Catechesis?
The word "Catechesis" literally means, "to echo". In catechesis we echo the love of God to others. Consider how the moon is not lit from within, rather it reflects the light from the sun. We are to reflect, or echo that light, that love, our faith, to others.
Does your child in grade 1-12,
Does your child, age 7 or older,
Or to volunteer...

The religious formation program at St Peter the Apostle strives to enable all students to develop a vital, personal relationship with God and to share the Gospel truth in a spirit of faith, hope, and love. Through study of the Catholic faith, as it has developed within our rich tradition, catechists and teachers help prepare all students to celebrate God’s love, proclaim God’s message and live in accord with this message. Study, reflection and discussion nurture a positive sense of self-worth and promote a deepening awareness of our responsibility to serve others.
