An organization of Catholic Women affiliated with the Knights of Columbus
MEETINGS ARE HELD THE FOURTH TUESDAY OF THE MONTH
We are an organization of Catholic women dedicated to our Patronesses, the Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Theresa, the Little Flower, and St. Joan of Arc. We are an international organization with many auxiliaries in the United States and Canada.
There are two degrees to make as a Columbiette; 1st Degree and Major Degree.
There are four levels in our Columbiette Auxiliary: Auxiliary, Chapter, State and Supreme.
The Supreme Council governs all levels. At each level there are several functions, dinners, balls and outings. Learn more about these events after becoming a Sister Columbiette.
The Columbiettes are a truly Catholic organization and we are expected to continue to live our Catholic faith. We are especially concerned with the Commandments of God, the Precepts of the Church, Corporate Communion and the duties of the Columbiettes, such as attendance at meetings and support of our activities.
As a charitable, not-for-profit organization, we support many different charities and are involved in community activities as well as working collectively with our brother Knights of Columbus to promote faith and unity. At St. Peter the Apostle Parish, we try to keep all of our charitable fund raising profits within the parish. Our fundraising efforts include Bingo, Holiday Pie Making, Bake Sales and other parish events such as a Comedy Performance and more.
We also have many social events as well as our religious and charitable works where a new member will have the opportunity to meet other women with the same interests.
Even though we are affiliated with the Knight of Columbus, membership does not require having a spouse who is a Knight of Columbus. Some of our members are single women. It is an organization open to all Catholic women at least 17 years of age. Come join us! Contact any officer and they will be more than happy to assist you.
